About the Book

  • “Fallacy Hunters” is a book series teaching kids 8+ about logical fallacies through graphic novel storytelling, textbook lessons, and workbook exercises. Kids follow four characters—Adam, Kate, Sammy, and Luna—as they hunt logical fallacies in the wild, while outsmarting their opponent, Dr. Sophist. Each fallacy is taught through a story, explained in plain language, then practiced with activities and discussion prompts.

  • Ages 8+. “Fallacy Hunters” works as a read-aloud for younger kids, and also as an independent book choice for older kids. Many parents have told us they learned something too!

  • Book 1 covers ad hominem, straw man, red herring, genetic fallacy, appeal to authority, and appeal to the people.

Books 2-4 (future releases) will cover at least a dozen additional logical fallacies.

  • Illustrated panels allow young, reluctant, or developing readers understand even abstract concepts.

This format also allows siblings at different reading levels to work through the same material together.

  • Both. You can read it straight-through as an educational graphic novel, or work through the book as a six-part unit using the included Lesson Plans and bonus resources.
